RICHARDSON, Texas – September 30, 2008 – AMX®, the leader in providing simplified solutions in the audio/visual control industry, announces the grand opening of its state-of-the-art 5,800 square foot office and showroom called AMX Las Vegas Device Discovery Center. Located at 3883 Howard Hughes Parkway, Suite 1090, the full-service center showcases more than 350 AMX products, while offering a fully furnished business facility for dealers, consultants, architects, designers and end users.

“This move is in response to our customers’ desire to interact with our technology solutions from AMX and our partners,” says Rashid Skaf, AMX president and CEO. “The AMX Las Vegas Device Discovery Center will act as the experience center for our partners in the hospitality market. The speed of technological change from AMX has our customers wanting more interaction with our products, to allow solutions to come together and be demonstrated in an interactive environment. That is what we have provided for them."

AMX Las Vegas Device Discovery Center features an interactive demonstration platform for more than 350 AMX products – from the company’s award-winning line of Modero® Touch Panels, Metreau Keypads, Novara ControlPads, Mio Remotes and NetLinx® Controllers to the AutoPatch®, Endeleo and Solecis™ Signal Management Systems and Inspired Signage digital signage solutions. As well as the Tango distributed audio solutions and the latest addition, Vision2 – the proven solution that lets you capture, store, retrieve and distribute live and stored content to meet a variety of video needs via the internet or an intranet.

Throughout the Showroom, sub-systems such as the new AMX SIP Gateway IT phone network, AMX RADIA Eclipse lighting and AMX Tango Distributed audio system integrate with AMX InConcert® partners whose products include Lutron® dimming ballasts and motorized shading, Trak-kit Robotic Plasma Drive, Biamp Systems audio processor, Epson® projector, Denon receiver, Polycom® video conferencing system, WolfVision® document camera, Niveus AV server, Pioneer® Elite Plasma screens, Blue-ray players and IP cameras and NEC LCD. InConcert® is an alliance of manufacturers devoted to creating seamless, fully integrated control solutions. All this technology, along with building HVAC, is fully integrated with AMX’s award-winning Resource Management Suite (RMS) to demonstrate real-time equipment monitoring and energy management. In total, the Showroom includes more than five miles of network, audio/video (A/V) and fiber cables.

The showroom at the Device Discover Center mirrors the AMX New York Showroom, launched January 2008 in New York’s Time Square. Both showrooms offer examples of AMX technology at work, providing an interactive environment where customers can experience the real world applications of AMX technologies and software.

“The Las Vegas Center is designed to give visitors the flexibility to see and touch AMX products as well as the freedom to use the facility for other needs,” Jeff Kindig, AMX vice president of marketing strategy. “Our partnership with these manufacturers is a shinning example of our commitment to them and the AV market.”

The center also includes a full-size boardroom complete with video conferencing capabilities, a second conference room, a multi-purpose room and a full-time Training Center for AMX University, the company’s worldwide training program, offering Control and Signal Management classes for every level beginning September 29, 2008.
