As Part of Education Event, AMX to Present DVX-2100HD and AMXmeetingroom Solution that Enables IT Managers to Access, Manage AV Devices on a Network

RICHARDSON, Texas - April 6, 2011 - AMX®, the leading provider of solutions that simplify the implementation, maintenance, and use of technology to create effective environments, today announced it will be demonstrating its DVX-2100HD and AMXmeetingroom solution at Almo's upcoming E4 AV Tour on April 6th in San Francisco, CA and April 21st in Dallas, TX.

As the audio-visual and IT worlds continue to merge, companies are looking for cost-effective solutions to integrate and manage these various resources. With the DVX-2100HD - an all-in-one switcher, controller, scaler and amplifier - and AMXmeetingroom, a small conference room can easily be configured without the need for programming. AMXmeetingroom is an intuitive, easy-to-use software wizard which leverages a simple graphical user interface to streamline the time it takes to program and replicate a meeting room control system.

"The DVX-2100HD with AMXmeetingroom solution is a breakthrough in control systems as it makes conference room automation affordable and practical for almost any company with an IT manager," said AMX Vice President of Business Development Sean McNeill. "We are excited to present to Almo's E4 attendees this innovative solution that can configure a conference room in 1.5 hours compared to up to 52 hours of programming for typical conference rooms."

The DVX-2100HD and AMXmeetingroom solution allow streamlined convergence of A/V systems into an IT framework. By enabling digital signage and A/V systems to integrate with the IT network, the IT manager on staff now can easily manage and troubleshoot AV devices from a network operations center (NOC) as he is accustomed.

Adds McNeill, "Another thing Almo's E4 attendees will be interested to learn is that AMX solutions utilize standard Category cable - compared to competitors' solutions - which require proprietary cabling." Installations utilizing standard Category cable, common in the IT world, allow for easier integration and future scalability.

In addition to the live demonstrations in the AMX booth on the E4 exhibit floor, AMX will also host a 1 hour workshop titled "Emerging Trends in Configurable Control Systems" with instructor Justin Kennedy, AMX Product Manager for Meetingroom Solutions.

"Education at our E4 events is the key to helping our resellers compete and win business. Control systems are an essential part of any installation so we're excited to add AMX and Justin Kennedy to our lineup of new courses at the Spring E4 events in San Francisco and Dallas," Sam Taylor, Executive Vice President and COO, Almo Professional A/V.

Almo's E4 Tour will be held April 6 in San Francisco at the South San Francisco Conference Center and April 21 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. For more information on the Almo E4 events visit www.e4avtour.com.
