Compass Control® represents the first fully integrated major control system built from the ground up to use Apple’s iOS 5 devices – iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod touch® – as its backbone. ® in conjunction with Compass Control’s Compass Alliance Partners (CAP) has created a fully integrated control system with driver support for hardware from the following brands: Aprilaire, Boston Acoustics®, ClearOne®, Denon, Furman, ICRealtime Security Solutions®, iPort®, Key Digital, LG, Lutron®, Luxul, Marantz®, MechoSystems, Onkyo®, Panamax, Primeview, Russound®, SurgeX, and Wolfvision®. All of the control protocols are routed through the KD-MC2500 Master Controller which effectively acts as the brain of the entire system. The Master Controller, which itself is controllable via TCP/IP, communicates with all devices in the system and integrates all components. Compass Control® can be installed in a standard iPad® or iPod® touch, allowing installers to give the end-user complete control of audio, video, lighting, HVAC, and security from any location inside his or her residence.
