Walt Megura Takes Leadership Role, Steering AMX to the Next Level
RICHARDSON, Texas – August 17, 2009 – AMX® the leader in providing simplified solutions in the audio/visual control industry, announced today that Walt Megura has been named Vice President, US Sales and Global Marketing. In this newly created role, Walt will build upon his current role as Vice President, Global Market Development to include all AMX US Sales and Global Marketing Programs.

Walt will now be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the company's commercial and residential sales operations throughout the United States and all marketing programs worldwide. In addition, Walt will continue to drive the strategic initiative to formally establish AMX as the standard technology platform of choice for key vertical markets. In this organizational change, domestic sales, sales engineering, global marketing, technical support, professional services, training, and sales operations all fold under one unit. This combination of our various customer centric organizations formalized into one group position us to better present our overall portfolio of solutions to the market place.

Prior to joining AMX, Walt was Senior Vice President for the Americas with Intervoice, which was acquired by Convergys. In addition, Walt has held a number of senior level leadership positions ranging from Vice President and General Manager for Global Broadband and IPTV to other sales leadership roles at Nortel and EMC. Walt holds a BS degree in business administration from Northeastern University, Boston and is an alumnus of the Stanford Executive Management Program.
