AMXmeetingroom Configuration Tool Slashes Design and Install Time to Nearly Nothing
RICHARDSON, Texas – May 26, 2010 – AMX®, the leading provider of solutions that simplify the implementation, maintenance, and use of technology to create effective environments, today announced that distribution is underway for AMXmeetingroom. AMXmeetingroom is a configuration tool loaded on a Modero® Touch Panel that automatically configures meeting or conference room control systems simply by answering a series of wizard-based questions. AMX is demonstrating the time-saving configuration tool coupled with the Enova™ DVX-2100HD, HydraPort™, and more in booth C4417 at InfoComm 2010, being held June 9 – 11 in Las Vegas.
"AMXmeetingroom is definitely going to change the way our integrators run their businesses in a good way," stated Rashid Skaf, AMX President and CEO. "Now integrators will be able to complete multiple installations with greater consistency, reliability and efficiency than ever before possible."
The AMXmeetingroom configuration tool is an advanced solution that configures a control system, generates system configuration files, adds source device modules, updates program files already loaded on the AMX NetLinx® Central Controller, and updates the user interface on the Modero Touch Panel. With AMXmeetingroom a user with limited technical proficiency can effectively install a control system in a fraction of the time that would be required by even a highly experienced programmer.
"AMX continues to take a leadership role in control system innovation by providing solutions that simplify installations," said AMX Chief Technology Officer Robert Noble. "AMXmeetingroom redefines the installation workflow as it takes the programming out of conference room A/V while reducing the installation process from an average of 40 hours per room to two."
"With AMXmeetingroom I am able to complete more installs in less time," said Michael Safranski, Technical Services Manager with AVI Systems (a leading systems integrator and valued AMX partner). "It's a remarkable shortcut that made a big difference in the amount of time my technicians spend in the field."
AMX is showcasing the combined AMXmeetingroom, DVX, and HydraPort solution in the InfoComm booth with a Vegas-style contest: AMX Jackpot! Challenge. To demonstrate the ease of use and effectiveness of AMXmeetingroom, the contest encourages InfoComm attendees to "Take a Minute to Win It" with participants winning prizes including iPads and a Smart Car as the grand prize.
