Aurora Multimedia Corp.
Model: LXC-1
Aurora introduces an AV industry first that is changing the future of control automation. At ISE, the M4500 Network Switch by NETGEAR is running the first non-branded Aurora product running ReAX IP Control. This allows an integrator/end user to upload control code and interfaces into the network switch and can control anything on the network, just like an AMX, Crestron or Extron, except ReAX is based on industry web standards.
There will be additional manufacturers in the coming year adding this powerful control engine into their products. ReAX can be integrated into almost anything. (projectors, LCD screens, Blu-ray, etc.)
“To make a leap in technology requires the strength of a partnership and cooperation of two or more companies to make real positive changes in the AV industry. “Working together with NETGEAR, the first-ever integration of ReAX IP Control and a network switch now exists.” says Paul Harris CEO of Aurora.
“NETGEAR is focused on supporting the needs of the ProAV industry by simplifying AVoIP integration, with the ability to run Aurora’s powerful ReAX software directly on the switch we are simplifying designs and creating greater reliability for our customers.“ says Vikram Mehta Sr. Vice President SMB of NETGEAR.
ReAX™ is the industry’s first non-proprietary IP Control based on AV/IT industry standards. The name ReAX™ represents action/reaction which is the essence of control automation. ReAX™ is unique since it is not limited to a single manufacturer but to all who qualify. This is for the first-time, interoperability of not just protocols and structure, but the actual code itself. It is not limited there as IR libraries, macros, and more can all be shared and organized in a single location at the organizations’ website www.reax.org
ReAX™ server-side operations is based on JavaScript™. This language standard is taught in schools and commonly used on most websites. Client-side operations for touch panels and web interfaces can be HTML, JavaScript, etc. To the end user, it will appear and operate as any other control system and much more. For the first time, integrators will not have to rely on proprietary training courses and the required investment of time and money. Being part of ReAX™ will allow integrators and end users to have choices; what makes sense for their installation.
