Milestone has named One Way Media Solutions as the overall winner of the Milestone 2016 Install Contest.
In August, Milestone put out the call to installers to showcase their best installs of 2016 using Chief, Da-Lite, Projecta and/or Vaddio solutions. Many of the entries will be featured on the Milestone blog in the months to come. The winner was determined by a company-wide vote.
The Winner
New Life Church wanted an immersive video experience, including environmental projection, side projection, confidence projection and IMAG and Virtual Pastor.
Solutions used:
- 3 Da-Lite Perm Wall Screens with Da-Mat surface
- 1 Da-Lite Series 200 Lace and Grommet frame
- 1 Large Cosmopolitan Electrol Screen
- 1 Wireline Advantage Screen with HD Progressive 1.1 Surface
One Way Media Solutions used the screens in their custom environmental edge blending. They appreciated the custom control of Wireline Advantage which included two different stops.
“The goals of the project were met in a tricky mounting scenario,” said Masaki Liu, president of One Way Media . “The wireline provided the modern look and feel without an obstructive leader for the virtual pastor scenario.”
Tim Shinners, Regional Sales Manager for Da-Lite said “I was impressed by the engineering resourcefulness of One Way Media to create this cool, visual worship experience that was also functional. It was a great example of utilizing Da-Lite technology to meet the needs of the church.”
Best install in EMEA
In the EMEA region, Solavi LTD won the contest for their installation at the Riga Motor Museum in Latvia.
The project used Chief, Da-Lite and Projecta solutions to precisely place more than 70 displays and 20 projectors. Rear projection screens that can hang at an angle and framed screens with quick set up times were needed.
Solavi LTD appreciated Chief mounts and rack systems for the high quality, fast installation and ability to place equipment precisely.
The Da-Plex rear projection screen was also noted for the ability to hang at a 15 degree angle.
The museum is a highly innovative attraction in Latvia’s capital city and houses one of the most comprehensive collections of antique automobiles. The museum strives to provide a fun and educational experience for children, an amazing experience for vehicle enthusiasts, and a great day for any visitor.
This was part of a three-year redevelopment project with audio-visual at the heart of the exhibit strategy to take the visitor experience to a new level of engagement and interaction.
“The Riga Motor Museum is a venue where AV solutions for expositions and conferencing come together, and it is exciting to see how our Da-Lite, Projecta and Chief products were implemented,” said Marco Adriaans, Senior Marketing Manager for EMEA.
