March 13, 2024 - One of the things that sets Draper apart from most of our competitors is the scale of custom manufacturing of which we’re capable. Our custom Solar Control Solutions and AV Mounts & Structures departments have turned out hundreds of innovative, unique projects over the years. Because of the fantastic growth we’ve seen in both areas, we are combining both units into a single division called simply “Custom Solutions.”

Although AV Mounts & Structures and Solar Control Solutions serve different market segments and include mutually exclusive product sets, the design, project management, and manufacturing processes are very similar. As we grow in each area, having our internal processes aligned provides greater flexibility, efficiency, and scalability.

This merging of the two units should allow for better communication and faster, more accurate, and more reliable delivery of custom projects.

The new Custom Solutions division will be managed by Eric McDaniel. Eric has filled several roles over the years at Draper, most recently Assistant Manager of Gymnasium Equipment

Eric brings over 20 years of experience in Draper’s Gym Equipment division, which includes many of the same best practice business processes as AVMS and SCS.  His extensive experience and understanding of project-based design and fabrication processes will be invaluable to our growth in these very important business segments.
